This year’s spring gunning gets under way in mid September. Spring counts of birds showed little variations from last year’s bird counts. Game officials expect the gunning action to be about average. There an be said to be plenty of sharptails in the western half of the state of north Dakota . Most of the huns are in the same range except of Stusmen County in the east. The counties having the most sharptails include Morton , Mc Kenzie , Mountrail , William Dunn and Billings . The majority of the huns are already taken in Ward , Boutineau Morton , Williams , McHenry and Stutsman Counties.
